Borst in the Community

Borst Landscape & Design has long been a positive presence in communities throughtout Northern New Jersey, whether through their free education programs for libraries and other organizations or through their work helping Eagle Scouts build community gardens or through their many efforts for the less fortunate.

Borst will soon be designing and maintaining streetscape plantings throughout downtown Allendale as part of the Allendale Chamber of Commerce streetscape revitalization project that will begin in the spring of 2012.

Oakland Eagle Scout Project

Throughout the next few months, Eagle Scout Doug Grasser of Oakland will be working closely with our Landscape Designer, Joe Tuttle, to accomplish his Eagle Scout project. Doug's project entails replacing a very old and crumbling retaining wall at the Oakland First Aid Squad building in Oakland with a new two-tier brick retaining wall. The wall will also include a memorial garden for the son of Vivian Walker, who founded the Squad in his honor. The planning stages have begun with a CAD drawing of the property survey, which will serve as a base map for the memorial design. Stay tuned for updates of this project's progress!

Borst Landscape and Design helps to preserve historical Fell House in Allendale

Borst Landscape & Design, based in Allendale, helped maintain a piece of New Jersey history by plowing the area around The Fell House in Allendale, free of charge this winter. Borst Landscape's generous service lent a hand in preserving the pre- Revolutionary home of John Fell, an eighteenth century New Jersey Councilman and member of the First Continental Congress of the United States.
